Art Tutoring and Workshops
A bit about me! Hello, My name is Elizabeth Suriani, and I am a visual artist from Northern Colorado. I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in Art History in 2016. While at the University of Wyoming I primarily studied 2D art style, including oil painting and print making. I studied in Florence, Italy during the fall of 2015 where I studied architectural and figurative drawing, as well as fresco restoration. Since 2015 I have been teaching art and art history to students ranging from ages 5-18 years old with lessons ranging from basic instructions, all the way to advanced classes and color theory for older students. I love teaching art and am currently teaching students in multiple states and have taught virtually to international students in the past. In 2020 I returned home from teaching English as a second language in Bangkok, Thailand. I loved working with my students and miss them dearly. On top of being a full-time artist, I am also a student myself and am planning a Masters of Art Restoration and Conservation. When teaching, I love to keep things fun and light. I believe that seriousness doesn’t do a young mind any good when learning art at an early age, it tends to discourage them instead. I want to help my students find art or anything they are passionate about and feel like they have a space to ask questions, experiment, and flourish. I am happy to talk with you about your learner and what they are wanting to work on in their creative endeavours. This can mean anything from having fun while drawing mythical creatures, all the way to finessing their highschool portfolio and getting ready for college level art courses. Classes can range from in person with time in my sutdio to virtually through Zoom or Outschool. I look forward to talking with you further about artistic opportunities!
